The Glasgow Subway (Underground Rail system)

The subway in Glasgow is one of the most efficient ways of getting around the city centre.  Trains are fast and frequent.  At peak times, services run every 4 minutes.  At off-peak periods, trains are every 6-8 minutes.  Every train calls at all fifteen stations on the circular route on the north and south of the River Clyde.

There are two lines. The Inner Circle and Outer Circle, with trains operating in each direction.

Tickets

For more information on the different types of tickets available, and prices, please visit the SPT website at http://www.spt.co.uk/subway/tickets/

More information

You can also avoid city centre congestion by using the Park and Ride facilities at some SPT Subway stations.

For full details about the Glasgow Subway, how to buy season tickets online, and information for those who may require assistance making their journey, please see the SPT Subway website.
